Upcycling: A look at console TVs

The number one big gift for the holidays is a TV. This explains why I’ve already spotted two console TVs in my neighborhood alone, sitting out at the curb. Guess who’s getting a new flat screen in a few weeks?

This got me to thinking about all the cool upcycling projects I’ve seen using an old console TV.

Let’s have a looksee:

1. Sisters of the Wild West took an already modified console TV and upcycled it into a side table with a family photo top and a basket for storage. Really inspiring and well done!

2. Beckie from Infarrantly Creative rescued a console TV and upcycled it into a shelf unit. Not only that, her paint job is amazing!
3. Sugar Tot Designs took their console TV and repurposed it into a playhouse for their kids. So sweet and fun!
4. If you’re looking for something a little more mature, here’s a vintage console TV turned into a liquor cabinet via Whiskey Ginger.
5. Fried Okra turned a secondhand console TV into a pet bed.
Now if all these vintage TV aren’t doing it for you, you can still check out the flat screen deal on Amazon. Here are a couple I’ve sourced through my Amazon associates membership:

Eve of Reduction: Free Seasonal E-Newsletter; Extra tips and wit on Facebook; Reduction Beauty on Pinterest ; The debut DIY lifestyle book (includes 10 upcycling tutorials); and the guide to creative streams of income ebook (only $2.99).

I’m Cristin Frank (AKA Eve). I love all things frugal and crafty. My mindset is always on upcycling, repurposing, reducing waste and saving money – and Eve of Reduction is my roadmap. You might also want to check out my book, "Living Simple, Free & Happy."
