Tim Burton Inspired Place Mats

My son and I went “picking” in the closet of my mother’s spare bedroom. He found a silver cigarette case and I found Halloween fabric. So after sitting on this fabric until less than one week before Halloween, I decided to make place mats and coasters. The place mats were inspired by the art of Tim Burton and the coaster embroidery, well, I just drew that freehand first. I have two more coasters to make: a ghost and an owl on a branch.
What I find funny is that I have already spent hours upon hours embroidering Christmas napkins and these Halloween items I just pulled out of my “witch” hat.

I’m Cristin Frank (AKA Eve). I love all things frugal and crafty. My mindset is always on upcycling, repurposing, reducing waste and saving money – and Eve of Reduction is my roadmap. You might also want to check out my book, "Living Simple, Free & Happy."
