Mother’s Day Quote and Free Printable

mother's day printable in frame-01

Every Mother’s Day I get several handmade items from my kids that either make me cry or make me laugh hysterically. They are truly the greatest gifts – and I’ve kept them all. But what happens when we grow up and become less adorable? We resort to free printables, right? Especially if they take us back to memories of our childhood…or motherhood.

You may have heard me say this before – it’s a Cristin Frank original: “Mom’s Answer to Everything is Hot Glue & Whipped Cream” is my personal motto. Ever since my boys were really little I’d draw special pictures for them using whipped cream. It was my version of ballon animals. As they got older their friends would come over and line up with a plate, waiting to put in their order for a castle or a clown or a tractor or the biggest thing they could think of. They weren’t quite old enough to realize the plate size dictated how much whipped cream they’d get!

As for hot glue, it was the first tool I bought myself after I moved out. I already had a pair of pliers, so naturally a hot glue gun was the next essential on my list. Come to think of it, a glue gun would make a great house warming or graduation gift.

Yes, hot glue & whipped cream are my answers to everything, because through them come so many smiles!

If you share my love of the simple pleasures of motherhood that make things pretty and sweet, this free printable is for you. Happy Mother’s Day!!

That whipped cream trick is adorable! I wish I’d thought of it when my girls were young. Actually, I bet even teens would love a plate of whipped cream :) I also love every glued, glittered, construction paper present I ever got for mother’s day. They are truly the best!
