Get Scrap Happy

Have you ever had fabric that you loved so much that you went out of your way to make use of all of it? Come on, I cannot be the only one making fabric magnets and broaches just because I valued beautiful fabric like works of art?
Last week I had my niece’s 1st birthday. As I was going through the stores looking for something, I got the idea to make her a tiny apron. Seriously, how cute is that? Well, the second after I got the idea, I knew exactly what fabric I was going to use – the brown and pink print cotton scraps that I couldn’t bear to part with. In fact, I originally only had a yard of this fabric, and made an adult sized apron with the rest of it. So, with one yard of fabric, you can make a mother/daughter apron set that will be the envy of any mommy social circle.
Note: if you do make a little one an apron, be sure to use Velcro on the neck loop to avoid a potential choking hazard.
