Cookie Cutter Couture

Are you hanging on to sentimental cookie cutters that have succumb to rust over the years? If so, I’m proposing 2 options for you. 1.) Read my post on restoring chrome and bring them back to life. 2.) Use them as stencils to fill with relaxing, satisfying Zen Tangles.

Trace your favorite cookie cutter, then fill with repeat patterns. Your platterns can be whatever flows out of your hand: stripes, dots, zigzags, boxes, wiggles. I like them done on colored paper, then cut out and pasted onto folded white paper to make my own, original card.
Another option would be to create a scene of animals, landscape, season or holiday.
This is so fun and relaxing that your kids (or your friend’s kids) will want to get in on it. Before you know it, you’ll be relaxed and everyone will be entertained. Your kids may even stop asking when it’s going to snow. (Right now it’s pouring rain in Buffalo, NY; ).

I’m Cristin Frank (AKA Eve). I love all things frugal and crafty. My mindset is always on upcycling, repurposing, reducing waste and saving money – and Eve of Reduction is my roadmap. You might also want to check out my book, "Living Simple, Free & Happy."
