If you have an upcoming Halloween party and you decided at the last minute to dress-up, here are some quick ideas that use things you probably already have in your wardrobe or around the house. Just to warn you, wrapping yourself in toilet paper will not work for a mummy costume.
1. Edward Scissorhands: guys, do you have black pants, a white dress shirt and suspenders? Then all you need is some hairspray, gloves, cardboard, foil and duct tape. Cut the cardboard into long blades (6 total) and a pair of scissors separated. Cover in foil and attach to gloves with duct tape.
For the photos below, I used foam core instead of cardboard and spray painted them silver.
2. Allstate’s Mayhem: if you have a black suit that you can get a little dirty and a butterfly band-aid, you’re all set for this pop culture get-up.
3. GEICO motorcycle money man: all you need is board game money, preferably green, some safety pins to attach the money to you’re outfit, and a helmet. My friend used a ski helmet.
4. Mad Men Cast Member: ladies if you have a vintage dress, or work suit you’re all set for anyone in the Mad Men cast whose hair most resembles your own.
5.Bridesmaid: Pull out that floor length or hot pink dress that you wore to your friend’s wedding, then watch the movie Bridesmaids, it’s worth the two hours, then give yourself a great up-do courtesy of Pinterest inspiration.
Hope you have a fun, safe Halloween!
